Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Ardent ("the app"), published by Caelix Labs ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use Ardent
The app contains romance fiction written for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
2. The stories
All stories in the app are works of fiction. Names, characters and events are imaginary; any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Stories, covers and other content are owned by Caelix Labs or its authors and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial reading inside the app. You may not copy, redistribute, sell or publish them elsewhere.
3. Coins, unlocks and VIP
- Coins are a virtual item used only inside Ardent to unlock chapters. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged or transferred, and aren't refundable except where required by law or Google Play's refund policy.
- Some coins are free (daily check-in, rewarded videos, welcome bonus). We may change how many free coins are offered.
- Coins and unlocked chapters are currently stored on your device. Uninstalling the app or deleting its data removes them. Purchases made through Google Play can be restored for VIP subscriptions; consumed coin packs can't be restored.
- VIP is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Google Play at the price shown before purchase. It renews until you cancel. Cancel anytime in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions at least 24 hours before renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Prices, chapter costs and the number of free chapters may change. Changes don't affect chapters you've already unlocked.
4. Ads
Rewarded videos are optional. A reward is granted only when the video is completed. Using tools to fake ad views or manipulate rewards is not allowed.
5. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer, modify or interfere with the app, its services or other readers' use of it, and don't use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access if these terms are broken.
6. Availability
We work to keep Ardent running and to publish new chapters, but we can't guarantee the app or any story will always be available, error-free, or completed. We may add, change or remove features and content.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Ardent means you accept the updated terms.
